Terrible experience with Honda
We own a Honda WR-V, purchased in 2018 with around 45k km driven. It's generally driven by our chauffeur. Yesterday, my dad went out for some work. When they returned, the driver parked the car and went upstairs to drop off some stuff. When he came back down to properly park it, the car wouldn’t start; the ignition lock wouldn’t turn. We spoke to a few Honda owners, and they said they’ve faced this issue too, and it's apparently a *common* problem. We also contacted the dealer where we bought the car, and they said it’s a *known drawback* with Honda cars, ignition locks can fail anywhere unexpectedly. I found this issue very strange. Is this really that common with Honda cars? They’re saying the whole lock needs replacement, which will cost around ₹12k. Are car locks really this expensive?!2
