Autonomous cab, Waymo, in San Francisco

I had the chance to take a ride in a Waymo in San Francisco, and the experience was surprisingly smooth. The booking process was straightforward, and the ride itself felt safe—it followed signals diligently and navigated well. Pricing was comparable to Uber, though I expected it to be lower since there’s no driver involved. I genuinely believe autonomous vehicles like these have the potential to reduce accidents. With more such cars on the road, we could see a shift toward more predictable and sensible driving, enhancing safety for both passengers and pedestrians. As for how this might work in India? That’s a different story. Considering the complexity of traffic patterns and road conditions, I think we’re still quite a long way off from seeing this implemented successfully there.
