1 year update - 2003 Honda Accord - AMA about the car
I got placed from university into my first job and I wanted to realise my lifelong dream of getting my own car. However, new cars that I actually liked were simply unaffordable for me. So instead, I purchased my first car - a 21 year old Honda Accord. I fell in love with it and it was perfect. It was a company car and was barely driven yet it had full service records spanning over 21 years, almost enough to make a book out of it. It was absolutely pristine, almost showroom condition and I had to have it. Ever since, I have been driving it everyday to office and back and it’s also been to 5 road trips with friends and family. I have done about 18k kms on it since I’ve purchased it. I recently had my scheduled general service done for the car and it's pretty much in factory condition as I had already done all the preventive maintenance as soon as I got it a year ago. 17k for service, I found it pretty cheap considering it's a 21 year old D segment executive car. I also got the interiors cleaned and it looks really good for a 21 year old car IMO. Overall, I am in love with this car as it is faster and more comfortable than any new car below 30L. As long as you don't take fuel consumption into consideration lol. This is currently my daily driver and I am quite attached to the car. It’s fully legal on road with a valid FC till 2029 and I plan to renew it post that and will be keeping it even if I upgrade to a newer car later.5
