Saw Marco(2024). It was way better than I expected.

Okay so I was very skeptical about this movie. Thought that it would be another Masala Movie where one guy kills 50 people easily. I hate Choppy action and Wire work. That is the reason I did not watch it in theatres. Now as it is on SonyLiv, I saw it and Oh My God I was wromg about this movie. The first half was mid with slow-mo scenes every 5 minutes. But I liked the Color Grading in the movie. That gray shade and playing with Shadows worked for me. Then the suspense was good too. I was eagerly waiting for Marco to find out that his brother was killed by Tony's son. Then comes the action, the jungle fight was good but nothing new. But that Stairway Scene! Damn! I wanted to make something like that whenever I make a movie and that was exactly how I imagined it. A one-take sequence with the protagonist taking on many men on a stairway. (The hidden cuts were noticable though) Then the character of Cyrus.. so fkn evil. I am not sensitive to gore( I have seen Terrifier Trilogy) but the violence against kids made me uncomfortable for a few moments. And the scene where he says the Joker's dialogue. Those were amazing. But the climax was disappointing action wise. It felt very light. Also one doesen't get a haircut and dress up like he's going to a meeting when they lose their family. Tf was that. I wanted the brother's deaths to be more gruesome and gor-ryy. Anyway, I liked the movie and it surpassed my expectations.
