Salman Khan would star if Sanam Teri Kasam was made in 1990s, says film's director: 'He was the perfect romantic hero' !! How would have been the movie if there was Salman instead of Harshvardhan ??
In an interview with India Today, director Vinay Sapru—who helmed Sanam Teri Kasam (2016) with Radhika Rao—revealed that if the film had been made in the 1990s, Salman Khan would have been the obvious choice for the lead role. Vinay described Salman as the “ultimate romantic hero of that era,” citing his captivating innocence, the way he holds and looks at his co-stars, and his pure, emotive performances as reasons why he would have been perfect for the role of Inder. Vinay added that Salman’s mere presence elevates any film he appears in, making even newcomers shine alongside him. He recalled their previous collaboration in the 2005 film Lucky: No Time For Love, noting that Salman’s longstanding superstardom—spanning over 30 years—has made him an institution in the industry. Sanam Teri Kasam, a romantic drama featuring the Hindi film debuts of Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane, continues to resonate with audiences as it re-releases in theatres, with Vinay and his team still inspired by the timeless charm that Salman Khan brought to the romantic genre in the 90s.5
