A question about Johnny Gaddaar

I watched it at tbh it was quite predictable from start to finish. The emotional drama also felt flat. Except the performances and some tense moments, it was average. BTW I'm not that big of a movie buff and don't even watch many thriller films, yet it didn't blow me away at all.
