The way Indians perceive Biharis is similar to how the world views India.
Hey, fellow teenagers, Honestly, I don’t even know where to start, so I’ll just begin with a quick intro. I’m @bessan_pakoda, 18 years old, from Bihar. Currently, I’m in Delhi, preparing for NEET (online) with my elder brother. This is my first drop and first attempt, and to be honest, I feel lost. I try to wake up early, go for a run, work out at home, and then spend my entire day studying at the library. But no matter how much effort I put in, I can’t seem to retain more than 30% of what I study. I’ve tried countless times and failed each time. I don’t know what’s missing. When I chose this path, I wasn’t even sure what I truly wanted from life. Recently, I’ve realized that I have a passion for directing scenes—I visualize and create my own perspectives of different clips I watch. Maybe this was always there, but I never had the clarity to recognize it. Growing up in a typical rural area with the chaos of a joint family, facing limitations, and dealing with personal losses—including losing a close friend and going through a breakup two years ago—shook me to my core. It affected both my mental health and academics in ways I never expected. Now, I have two choices: 1. Keep preparing for NEET, possibly taking a second or third drop, knowing that despite my best efforts, I might not even score 200 this time. 2. Sit for NEET, but after that, use the 1 to 1.5 months of free time to document Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast, Chhattisgarh, and other underprivileged regions of India—places that have immense potential but remain unnoticed. I have some incredible ideas for creating the best videos possible, but I lack resources (PC, camera, mic). I don’t even know how to edit yet, but I’m willing to learn and build a team of passionate individuals who share this hunger. Why aren’t there respected influencers or content creators from Bihar? Think about it—where is Bihar’s version of Kk Creates, Unfiltered by Samdish, Mohal Mangal, Abhi and Niyu, Nitish Rajput, Too Harsh? Regardless of their ideology, they’ve built something valuable. But where are we? I started questioning myself: Why should I even do this? No one seems to care. Even the people of Bihar don’t seem to care about what’s happening in Bihar. But if we, Biharis, don’t step up, then who will? It’s time to do something. If you guys are with me, I’m gonna cook something big before July. Let’s make it happen. What I’m looking for: 1. A passionate editor (skills can be developed together) 2. Someone with basic cinematography knowledge 3. A female for voice-over work If anyone can help, please reach out. Together, we can grow and create something that actually matters. I have an unexplainable hunger for this.3
