Transferring/cancelling Gruha Jyoti electricity subsidy

Hello fellow bangaloreans. I'm shifting apartments next month and right now, in my current rental place, I've taken the gruha jyoti subsidy under my name so that I can save on electricity bills. But since I'm moving next month, and I can't find this answer online, I wanted to know if anyone has been successful in transferring or cancelling their subsidy. I've heard that you need to go to your local BESCOM office, but has anyone actually done this and if you have, could you let me know the steps involved?
