Rubbing salt on Public’s wounds

While nothing new, I was appalled to see the deployment of heavy traffic police just for some petty politician. This was on the Old Madras road today (I have videos too but not able to post here). I am in 2 minds- How can they rub salt on the wounds of public by stopping everything else to create such traffic free roads for them; if there is intent then they can manage regular traffic as well. This is like a customer (tax payers) paying a company (govt) for service, but the company enjoys all the perks and leaves the customer begging. Would like to know what you think of this. Idk who this “VVIP” was but irrespective, this is the reason our country can’t be developed even in the next 100 yrs.
