Need advice, rats are getting inside my car *cabin*

I’m dealing with a major rat infestation near my house, and it’s led to rats getting inside my car. I’m not sure how they’re getting in, but they’ve managed to get into the cabin, chew through a tissue box, and leave behind a terrible smell. They seem to be hiding behind the glove compartment. I discovered it when I tried to open it for tissues and found a huge rat right there. I freaked out and am lucky I wasn’t driving then or else I would’ve fkn crashed . This has been an absolute nightmare. Now, I’m terrified to drive the car, and it feels completely unsanitary. I’ve set traps, but they always seem to find their way back. I’ve also tried using camphor, but it hasn’t deterred them at all. If anyone has dealt with rats inside their car before, I’d really appreciate some advice.
