Appartment security demand money?

How are your appartments security folk? I live in a standalone appartment building and the owners are chill folk and no fuss related to them. However, the security dude is kinda weird. He is a older and shabby dude who just stares weirdly even when we tried to smile at him. We give the maintenance money to him and i believe that is his salary. So heres the thing, the dude just pops up randomly and starts requesting money, claiming there is some "festival". We werent against giving him some money but we dont carry cash so we have to get some cash just for this. We used to give him 50rs or 100rs each but the dude doesnt take it without trying to haggle for more which was kinda off putting so we didnt really want to give it to him (we would have done this by ourselves if he didnt nag us all the time). The frequency in which he started asking for that money increased but it got super annoying and we were uncomfortable. Everything came to head the other day when we gave him the maintaince money and rent. He asked us to give him money, my flatmate told him we didnt have change and will give it to him later. He argues back saying that we already have this much money then why dont we have some more to give him. My flatmate replied that we only had a 500rs note and no change. Then this dude started yelling why can't you give me 500rs whats wrong with that. We had our auto waiting rgt outside and this freaked us out and we didn't respond and just left. Its been a week or more since then and the dude hasnt bothered us since, so i guess he gave up. Has anyone else faced something similar here in bangalore? Tldr: appartment security person kept asking for extra money (festival money) and a week back he screamed at us for not giving him a 500rs note.
