Wholesome (?) experience at cubbon park today

I go to cubbon park for reading on weekends and today was the same. I was just sitting alone and reading when someone approached me and asked me to look behind me. I did and there was a person holding a "You are amazing" sign. They then wished me a nice day and left. I would have felt good about it except that the entire interaction was being recorded and that makes me feel like I just became part of some kind of reel/shorts (I don't use instagram so no idea if this is something common). I don't really like being recorded/photographed either :(
