The city is in desperate need of third spaces

I left my house yesterday, 25 December, to do some shopping for an event coming soon. Big mistake. I was on road for more than 4 hours. The roads to Phoenix Mall of Asia were jammed and when I backed out of the area to travel elsewhere like Orion Mall, it was horrendous. The amount of people in the mall was insane. Every floor was overflowing with people, washroom queues took more than half an hour and the outer open space was taken up by a concert and more people outside. I was swamped more than once. It was insane. Thankfully security was good and they were doing their job. Malls have become the only source of entertainment for many people and it's showing. We are in real desperate need for third spaces beyond pubs, bars and restaurants. Edit: what's with men and sliding into dms. It's annoying lol
