Renting in BLR

Hello Admins, This is my first post, and I hope it gets approved. Big thanks to you for allowing it! Hello BLRians, As a first-time renter, I’d love to understand the different costs involved in renting a flat. I have a few questions: 1. Security Deposit – How much is typically required as a security deposit when renting a flat? 2. Deductions from Security Deposit – I’ve heard that some amount is deducted when moving out. What are these deductions for, and how much is usually taken? (I may have a few follow up questions based on the answers.) 3. Rent Payment Timing – Is rent paid at the beginning or the end of the month, for that month? 4. Transition Period Rent – Once a tenant moves out, the flat may need a few days for painting, cleaning, and repairs before the next tenant moves in. Does the outgoing tenant needs to bear the rent during this period? 5. Any other costs not mentioned above? I’d really appreciate any insights to help me plan better. Thanks in advance!
