Police appreciation post

I live near Varthur. There is a construction site right beside my apartment building. They keep the work going all through the night welding, hammering, concrete mixing and shouting. The noise is not unbearable but it's irritating enough. It has been going on for a few days now. Last night I couldn't take it anymore and called 112 but wasn't very hopeful. The lady on the phone said she's referring this to Vathur police station. Surprisingly I received a call from Varthur PS within a minute. The cop asked for location of the construction site and said he will visit in 10 minutes. I waited looking at the construction site, albeit without much hope. Then the mamas arrived in about 15 minutes. They didn't leave untill all the workers and vehicles left the site. It was so satisfying to watch the system work in the favour of the citizens. Amidst all the negativity and hopelessness that reddit so lovingly spreads, this was a very heartening experience. Just wanted to share this to encourage others to use 112 service.
