Incidents against women in the last year

I am shocked by the amount of Incidents against women that happened in the last 1 year. I am specifically talking about people whom I directly know about: Incident 1: I used to date a lady who was staying in Kalyan Nagar. She had shift till 11.30 night and her PG was just a 10 mins walk from her office. One of the days as she left her office, a few A\*\*holes followed her in a scooter and grabbed her A\*s. She was so shocked and horrified that poor girl girl cried the entire night. I used to stay 1 hour away from her. I travelled all the way from my place to hers, just to console her. She was so shook that she hugged and cried till 5 in the morning. This is a real nightmare for people who who belong to other cities who come here for a living. Incident 2: It was one of those Fridays, and there was a team dinner in my office. After the event, it took me another 1 hour to reach my place around 11.20 PM. As i was going back to my home, around 500 metres away from the kengeri Metro, I noticed a few guys bothering a lady. She clearly was in distress and was walking fast while these guys were behind her. I passed through them unsure of what to do. To be very honest, I chickened out and it was bothering me a lot. After another 100 metres, i decided to go back to check on her. its lonely place at dark, 4 men and nobody else around. I really was panicking and shivering. Anyway i went ahead and stopped my bike to the opposite side of the road. Seeing me stopping my bike, these guys started walking backwards the the girl jogged for a bit forward to get away from them. I stood there pretty afraid to make eye-contact with any of them pretending to check something in my mobile.. Iam trained in martial arts, but to be honest I have always been a chicken. As she walked away a safe distance from them, i turned my bike around to check on her. I slowed down beside her and asked her if she was doing okay. She didnt even respond to me. Her head was hung down while tears were rolling down her eyes, as i saw her in the headlight of her bike. Unsure of what to do, I asked her If I could drop her. She just nodded her head in refusal. How would a lady trust a stranger at this time of the night. But I totally couldn't leave her alone in this dark. So i would let her walk ahead in front of me and as she would gain around 50 - 100 metres ahead of me, I would cover the gap between us. I did that until she reached her home. Once she got inside her Apartment compound, she looked back at me and waved her hand at me. From distance, i just nodded my head indicating her to go inside. i have never seen that lady after that. Incident 3: A friend of mine wanted to buy some sanitary pads at night as she ran out of it. In those days, Blinkit and instamart wasnt available in our area. Time was already 10.30 and we stayed in kengeri outskirts which literally deserted after 10 so she asked me to take her to the shop. i didn't go inside the shop with her, as i thought it would be awkward for her. Seems like some guy approached her and asked her for her number while she was in the shop. She ignored him and went ahead while him and his friend made some remarks about her a\*s to each other. She didnt react them neither was I aware of any of this. As i started my bike and drove off, she out of her frustration showed them middle finger it seems. These boys took their bike ( 3 people in a bike) and started following us. I was not aware of any of these thing as she asked me to go faster. In no time they overtook us and blocked us as was telling me to stop and saying something else in kannada. i was totally in dark of what was happening as she was pulling hoodie and screaming to go off from there. me with zero Survival skills legitlely thought it was some robbery attempt. Personally I was going through a lot of stuffs lately and was always on that anxiety and panic mode. One of the guys came rushing towards as and kicked my bike. Somehow I held my bike and and prevented it from falling. i quickly got down and my entire body was pumping adrenaline at this point of time. Without initiating any verbal confrontation, I went on full assault mode. 1 elbow strike and taht guy who kicked my bike was down, Almost as if he had a factory reset. The tip of my elbow smashed his jaw like a sledge hammer. His face planted on the road with a thud. Both the guys approced and i was quick enough to respond - one punch on the guys stomach and he was holding his stomach and was coughing and choking. Then I went full berzerk on the 3rd guy who was actually riding the bike. nearly a dozen elbow strike and punches later, he was folding his hands in front of me with his mouth and nose bleeding. i literally felt his nose squish against my fist. Long story short, I left the place while the 1st guy was still face planted in the road while the girl was shivering the entire night. This might just sound like a few incidents, but mind you Iam a guy who doesn't have much of human interactions. If i am witnessing this much of cases, imagine how worse the situation might be. Dear ladies. Please take charge of your own safety and do learn a Martial art or any combat sports that could protect you.
