ICICI Bank Blocked my Credit Card without any any Explanation or Communication. What shall i do ?
I’m facing issue with my credit card provider, **ICICI Bank.** Last month (or earlier), my credit card was blocked, without any intimation/communication. I only came to know about this when i tried to swipe if for a purchase and it was declined. I immediately called their customer care - they said, since it was late in evening and out of office hours, they will update me next day morning. Next day when i called them, they were not able to provide any information and asked me to visit any ICICI bank branch and it will be fixed. I went to bank branch (mid-december), where they were also clueless and confused as why i have been asked to come to branch, where this issue can be shorted out over the phone itself. I’ve made several attempts to get more information or resolve the issue, but so far, I’ve hit a wall. Here’s what I’ve done so far: * I’ve called customer support multiple times, but the only responses I get are automated emails or vague replies. * I physically visited a branch of ICICI bank, but the staff were unable to help or offer any guidance. * On 20 December I’ve also emailed them formally, but no resolution or clear response has come through. * On 26th December 2024, I logged a formal grievance with the bank, via website https://nli.icicibank.com/NewRetailWeb/complaint.htm --- but it seems to have been ignored. Has anyone here experienced something similar or have any advice on how to handle this issue? I’m really stuck now, and I’m not sure what my next steps should be. It's over a decade old card, with excellent track record of payments. Is there any consumer protection agencies I should be considering? Thanks in advance for any advice! **EDIT:** I forget to mention, when i log in to my ICICI bank dashboard i can no longer see any cards, in my account.2
