I've turned about my opinion of this city(in a good way)
Upon coming to blr for work 3 years ago I was pretty excited. I'm someone who's spent a good chunk of my life in big metro cities in India. Initially I didn't like it at all. I did end up in a decent flat and am getting paid pretty well too (happy with my job touchwood). The city became really boring really really quickly. I asked friends where to go to and what to do, even people that have lived here their entire lives. They suggested the usual boring places like toit and truffles, famous clubs, Nandi hills etc. Not saying they're bad but it's something that gets boring really quickly and it got me down for a long time. My job is still pretty good so I decided to stick it out here. This year I came across places that I know the locals know but don't tell us "outsiders". I'm not gonna share too much but I can somewhat relate to when locals mention how annoying us "North indians" can be at times. It's more about the annoying extroverted people who don't respect the place and spoil it so I understand. I know I've talked very negatively in this post but man this city can be amazing if you give it a fair chance. I've been walking and exploring the more famous places randomly, so if you relate to how I used to feel don't look at swiggy or some bloggers or anything. Go to a new area in the morning, walk around till evening. Do it alone or in a small group only, and you'll find that this place has something for everyone and you'd the place(s) that makes this city feel like home for you. TLDR: avoid the popular places you're bored of and try to find the shit you'd actually like to do just roaming around with an open mind Edit: formatting3
