Has drink and drive checking reduced across the city ?

I always take a cab home if I end up having even a single beer due to the fear that there would be drink and drive checking. But everytime I have gone home around 12/1 in cab from kr puram/Whitefield areas i haven't seen any drink and drive checking. Do they generally start checking beyond 1am? I am against drink and drive. But I am just curious
