Driving TN vehicle in Bangalore

I have this (probably common) situation where I have a TN-registered car that I bought during wfh but I might need to return to Bangalore in the coming months (not yet sure when). Is it going to be difficult driving a TN car in Bangalore? Also, checked the process for transferring registration of a car to a different state. But it looks like a big hassle, and has anyone really gotten a refund of road tax from their original RTO? Thanks in advance.
