Driving a KL Registration Car in KA: Have non-KA issues Reduced?

I’ve noticed a lot more KL-registered cars on the roads in Karnataka lately, and I’m curious about others’ experiences. A few years back, there used to be frequent reports of police stopping non-KA vehicles, sometimes for genuine reasons but often just to harass or extract fines. Has this situation improved recently? Are there fewer instances of such harassment, or is it still a concern? If you’ve been driving a non-KA car (especially KL), I’d love to hear your recent experiences. Any anecdotes or tips to share?
