Appreciation post for Navi Health Insurance and Apollo Hospitals

I was admitted to Apollo Hospitals (Banerghetta Road) for 8 days in the last week of December 2024 with high fever, body pain, and chills. While I suspected that it might be dengue, it eventually turned out to be community-driven pnuemonia. This is an appreciation post for both Apollo Hospitals and Navi Health Insurance. The doctors at Apollo were top-notch and systematically went about eliminating other conditions like dengue, malaria, HIV etc. Once they figured out it was pnuemonia, they put me on the required antibiotics. The nurses there were pretty kind and did their duty diligently. Even when I was in the general ward and the nurses were swamped, they managed to get hold of a ward boy to give me sponge bath. Once I was transferred to a private AC room, the nurses arrived almost immediately when I pressed the call bell. Other departments too were very prompt with their work. The housekeeping staff was prompt and cleaned the room twice and changed the bedsheets at every request from my side. The nutrition department accommodated my request for idlis and khichdi only since I couldn't stand eating anything else. Overall, the service quality and diagnosis were extremely good. And the star of this event was Navi Health Insurance. They were always just a call away. I called the helpline some 7-8 times during my hospital stay with various doubts and sometimes at odd hours too. Never was the waiting time to get connected more than 30 seconds. All queries were resolved within 5 minutes. Even during discharge, the IP billing section gave me a timeline of 2-3 hours for the TPA to process my claims. Navi reverted within 25 minutes, shocking even the guy at the billing counter. I had to pay ZERO out-of-pocket expenses for a bill north of 2.5L. I'm hoping that my post-hospitalisation bill claims will also be smooth. Will keep you folks updated. My intent with sharing this was to spread some positivity and actually shine some light on companies that are doing a good job. With so many companies scamming us daily, I hope this post comes as a ray of hope and a breath of fresh air.
