50 % + 25% off is not 75% off. Its only 62.5% off.

I went to Trends today in Nexus mall and the entire store was filled with the poster saying “50% off + 25% off.. Most of the people interpreted this as 75% off. But during bill only it was explained that, initially all the items would be billed for 50% of MRP price and then 25% off would be applied on the total bill. So it would actually only be 62.5% off. This might seem obvious for few people. But almost everyone at the store were confused when the bill value was actually higher than what they had calculated. So beware
