Is Sadhguru just a marketing gimmick? Not a real Saint?
Went to attend the Satsang with Sadhguru held at the Vandya International School yesterday (9th feb) with high expectations. By High Expectations, I mean, we have been seeing Sadhguru (on youtube) inspiring thousands of people by uplifting them with knowledge, spirituality and right perspectives. It was all good and positive in his gatherings. He seemed to had a lot of experience and so far his talks made sense to me. But yesterday was a totally different experience. He seemed to have a cynical approach towards the general population. There were many instances regarding that, like, he made an unpleasant facial expression when someone told him the staple food of assam was rice (in-between talks) , during the questionnaire session, he was insulting the very first person who opened the session by asking “Sadhguru, what is the purpose of of LIFE?” Firstly Sadhguru criticised him for the question in a very condescending way, then his basic answer was “you are just a spec of dust in this cosmology so you shdnot bother about the purpose of life and even if you figure out the very purpose of life, you will not be able to do anything about it considering the size and proportionality of the person and the cosmos. And it went so on, people asks questions and he criticised them first and then went on to utterly demeaning the question as well as the devotee or follower or the questioner. So was it me only? Or any other person attended the event felt same? Is Sadhguru is not that of a SAINT and just hyped because he has a good accent.1
