How do you deal with aggressive people in this country?
Last week, I was driving through Delhi NCR during peak traffic hours. As expected, the roads were chaotic, and everyone was in a rush to get somewhere. At one point, a guy in an SUV cut me off abruptly. I honked once, more out of reflex than frustration, but apparently, that was enough to set him off. He stopped his car in the middle of the road, got out, and started shouting at me. For a moment, I didn’t know what to do. My first instinct was to yell back, but something stopped me. Instead, I rolled down my window just enough to let him hear me and calmly said, "Bhaiya, sorry if I upset you. Let’s not block traffic for everyone else." Surprisingly, he paused for a moment, muttered something under his breath, and got back into his car. The whole situation resolved faster than I thought it would, and I realized that staying calm can sometimes defuse aggression better than matching it. For those of you who’ve faced similar situations, especially in high-stress areas like Delhi NCR, how do you handle it? What’s worked for you, and what hasn’t?2
