Planning to move to Germany

Am planning to get married and have got a potential alliance who lives in Germany. He seems nice so I want to understand a few things before I start getting more involved...Yes I can ask them these questions, but also want other perspectives. 1. Is it easy to learn the German Language. 2. I have experience as a Manual tester, how are the job opportunities. 3. How is work culture? Are meetings usually in German or English 4. Can I navigate without learning a lot of German and a bit of basic communication. 5. Can someone compare the differences with Canada.
