Paranormal Activity or have I gone nuts?

Lately, I have been feeling strange that the apartment I recently rented might have some negative energy. I am skeptical but now that I have been thinking back, I jotted down some points and now that's fucking with my mind. Some nights back, there was a loud sound in the middle of the night, and out of the blue, the fan just stopped. I believed it to be some electrical issue and didn't pay much heed to it. Later, I purchased a new geyser which again had the same issue, and I was shit scared naked in the bathroom. There's a weird incense smell at night around 8ish, every night, but that's occasional. I have been having back-to-back sleep paralysis episodes. It feels like I am all awake, aware of my surroundings, and can't move. The worst episode that I vividly remember: in my dream, I was driving a car, and the driver's backrest snapped backward, I was practically lying down in the car and my foot wouldn't move from the accelerator. My head, my hands, nothing would move. There was this weird person I didn't know besides me, sitting there all silent, looking at me and caressing my head and I lay frozen. There were also some hack-saw sounds I heard in the middle of the night, but I shrugged it off thinking there might be some construction work in the shop downstairs. Do these things really happen or am I being an idiot here?
