My husband is demanding control over my salary

I’m a doctor and I married 2 years ago to a chartered accountant. I was doing my MD through these years and just gave exams. 6 months ago he asked to contribute half for deposit in his parents Fixed deposit. And now wants to contribute for car which I am not sure in whose name. But he and his father will go to purchase. Now I don’t find FD comfortable and if I contribute for car then I need my name in joint. But on this discussion be started fighting and says that you don’t know the cultural beliefs. But in my opinion what’s wrong is wrong and what is right is right. Please opine
