India, which is the 5th largest economy and has the 4th largest military, now ranks 12th just behind the UAE Seems strange, right ? Some experts believe that the Modi government might be to blame, claiming that its policies have weakened India’s economic, military, and political standing. Although India has one of the strongest militaries in the world (ranked 4th in the Global Firepower Index 2025), it seems like the country’s global influence and political alliances are holding it back.
