About history books

Might be a basic question but what's the source of these indian textbooks? Cuz obviously they don't state all the facts. At some point someone or something is glorified and it builds this opinions for students based on not so accurate information.you don't learn the actual history until u look it up everywhere by yourself. Obviously a single textbook can't hold all the details But what actually are the sources ?
