Why Is It So Hard to Find Someone You Truly Vibe With?

I have around 7 friends, and while half of them are female, I can’t say our humor aligns. It’s not like I can’t send them memes or reels, but they just don’t seem to get it. Our wavelengths just don’t match. They’re all from different age groups too. So, I end up saving memes and reels to myself, wondering if this is all because of ADHD or something. It’s the last day of the year, and I do have friends who’d be one call away for a party. But their idea of partying is just drinking, and honestly, I don’t enjoy that vibe. A big reason I miss my ex so much is that we shared the same sense of humor. She understood me, and I didn’t have to explain the jokes or memes I’d send her. It just clicked. And that’s what I miss the most—not just her, but the ease of that connection. Recently, I came across this girl, and after talking to her for a while, I got her number and asked her out to dinner. Guess what? She said, “I’m committed.” And there went my hopes 😔. After more than a year of waiting and searching, I finally found someone I thought was worthy enough to date. How do you all deal with this? Is it just me, or is finding genuine connections this challenging for everyone?
