Why is Indian society so angry about Ranveer Allabhadia's comment on India's Got Latent?

I think its plain hypocrity. there is really no good reason for this outrage. "par parents bhagwan samman hote hain, isiliye itni outrage" kisi ki maa ka roz rape ho raha hai, kahan thi ye outrage? "par yeh toh itni vulgar baat hai, isiliye itni outrage" jab desh ke politicians kehte hain "ladko ka wo garam ho jata hai isiliye rape ho jaate hain, rape ke kanun mulayam kiye jayenge" tab kahan thi outrage? I dont think indian society hates perverts. because we have perverts running the country, we celebrate them infact. indian public loves to be all "holier than thou" and put up this front of a respectful soceity, but we are not respectful. being perverted and disrespectful is actually celebrated in this country when the people in power enjoy it. we have politicians raping the women of this country and burning them alive, tab kaha thi ye outrage? this kind of selective outrage isn’t just hypocrisy. it’s a way for people to avoid facing the real issues. if public figures are supposed to be held to high standards, then why do politicians with rape charges still stay in power? why does everyone lose their minds over a youtuber’s comment but go quiet when actual crimes happen? the truth is, indian society doesn’t really care about morality. it just wants to look like it does. instead of holding the powerful accountable, people pick easy targets so they can feel good about themselves without actually changing anything. until we start calling out the real problem, no matter who’s involved, nothing will ever get better.
