Why is abusing normalised in today's world?

I feel most people in the present era are just promoting the ideology of abusing to be cool and normal. But I don't understand why. I come across many routine discussions amongst peers, colleagues friends n sometimes even acquaintances where literally every sentence has an abuse. The other day I asked my friend "bina gaali diye ni bol skta kya tu?" He just rolled up his eyes as if he was disgusted. What are we transcending into as a society? Is it actually normal or is it just me who feels this way?
