Why do we Say a Criminal Pollutes a holy place, Not That the holy place purifies the Criminal?
I've been thinking about this analogy: When a criminal goes to a place of spritual n religious importance, we often say that the place gets polluted, not that the criminal got baptized or purified. Why is that? Is it because the perception of a holy place's sanctity is so strong that even one bad presence can taint it? Or is it more about our societal views on crime and morality? Would love to hear your thoughts and perspectives on this!1
