Why Chinese Bank has share holding in Indian companies like HDFC , ICICI , Kotak , TCS, Infosys etc .. (total 35 companies)

Today just news that Chinese BANK has investment in Indian companies like HDFC , ICICI , Kotak , TCS, Infosys etc .. (total 35 companies) but WHY ?
