What's the point of leaving Hometown and parents and then working in a tier 1 city

I always think that money is just what humans made. It's not worth it. But it's the only thing that becomes the barrier for everything. I love to stay with my amma and my grandma, but due to work I have to stay away from them which I honestly hate. I know I'm here to make money, but I always think that if I have crores of money and my parents are not there what's the point. If I didn't live the moment, I will regret later on. How do you guys overcome these thoughts.
