What’s the craze of sober alcoholic drinks?

Unable to understand the craze of drinks tasting like alcohol but without the alcohol in them? I mean, who was drinking in the first place for the taste of those drinks? I understand health consciousness and all, but I would any-day prefer to go for a smoothie or a kombucha or a juice instead of a Jacob’s creek non alcoholic version.
