What is going on with Indians and the Canadian Food Bank?

I am 2nd generation Indian and I have noticed all my friends (from India) enjoy lots of food from the Canadian food bank. When the food bank opens the line is all the way around the block with Indian immigrants. I try to tell them that they should only take when they need it because most of them have enough money. My friends dad drives a Lexus and he still goes to the food bank every week. I am wondering why this is. Why cant we all respect the food bank as a resource for the hungry and poor. what cultural differences cause this?
