What is considered as a middle class income for a family of 4 in today’s date?

When I was growing up around 40-50k a month was considered as middle class income for a family of 4. This was around 2011-2012 when I was in my second year of engineering. My college fees at that time was 65k a year (around same amount for my sibling). We lived comfortably but were not able to afford anything lavish or luxury even traveling with AC 3 tier It got me thinking today that what income is considered as middle class income for a family of 4 to afford the same. Not sure what others think so wondering this could be a good place to find other perspectives. For reference we were living in Pune, MH
