To all the Men and Women of India: When exactly will we stop with these Man vs Woman debates?
Every day there's a new post on some man vs woman issue. When will people realise that **men and women are supposed to complement each other and not compete with each other**? Seriously, aren't there other things to discuss and contemplate? There are a hundred different things that affect everybody in the country and all we do these days is initiate and engage in gender wars. Why, **are poverty, corruption, unemployment, illiteracy, overpopulation, pollution, etc not relevant anymore?** Or are they just not *interesting* enough? And these days people seem to be actively wracking their brains for some issue that they can turn into a gender debate. It all starts with one question that leads people on, then few people respond, and then other people keep engaging with them until everything becomes a blame game. Another all-out war successfully triggered. At this point, it almost seems as if some people just enjoy creating rifts and causing trouble. Maybe they should all become politicians. Take their talent to people outside of Reddit. The sky is the limit, after all. When will we start viewing problems from the same lens? Yes, men face a pretty problematic fake cases issue. Similarly, women face a pretty horrifying sexual harassment issue. Neither issue is trivial. But when will we realise **if real sexual harassment cases had not been there at all, fake cases would also not have been there? And if fake cases had not been there, innocent men would not have got into trouble, and women facing real issues would not have gone unheard**. That makes sexual harassment an issue for men as well, just like it makes fake cases an issue for women. The onus is on every person to ensure it gets better for everybody. Pointing fingers will get us nowhere. Just accept it. Why can we not deal with problems by being on the same side? **Why can it not be Men and Women vs. Sexual Harassment/Fake Cases/Poverty/Unemployment, etc?** Would that not make it easier for both the predominant genders to navigate through the issues?5
