This is not a love story—it’s a story of love.
It’s not a question, just something I want to share to see if anyone has experienced something similar. I met a guy at a random competition, and we became friends. First, it was a movie, then food, then more movies, studying together—and that’s how things progressed. Now, we spend most of our time together. He’s a great friend—he listens to me, cares for me, and I care for him too. Sometimes, he hugs me, but just casually. He often tells me how much he loves me (platonically) and how important I am to him. Sometimes, I wonder if he’s falling for me, but I guess I’m wrong. We’ve already talked about how people often misinterpret our relationship. Once, we had a conversation where I asked him if he felt something more, and he denied it. I added that even if we did, it wouldn’t be a good idea. I really like him as a friend and as a person, but I know how it would end (he’s Muslim, I’m Hindu). He agreed. This is not a love story—it’s a story of love. We love each other, but as lovers? I don’t think so.2
