I never realised sexism would be so common

Growing up I don't think I ever realized that I'd have to compete with men for standing out. As kids, we're treated equally based on how intelligent or good we are at what we do. And I grew up with that. Now it feels as if no matter how much I try, there's always a MAN, to take my place and or to overshone me. It's not that they are better than me(Again, I'm not praising myself here) cuz some men don't even know the basic shit about stuff and get favored by other men who are in high positions. There's always competition. First, you need to fight to be the best and then fight for gender equality. This is the biggest and saddest thing I realized lately.
