How to apologize in India

I don't know if I have too many questions, because I am new to Indian affairs, culture and religion. I want to ask how different levels of apology are done in India, because I know in other countries like Japan there are varying levels of apologies, I don't know if there is anything like this in India. I would like to know what is normally done when apologizing to someone you know well. And in some relatively public and large-scale situations, such as in companies and politics, how do they or leaders apologize to the public? For example, what will be said and what gestures will be made? Or do these gestures and movements change in different regions due to cultural reasons? I hope someone can explain it to me, thanks.
