Have regretted quitting the job ?
I was not very studious and most of my peers had written me off when I was younger until I turned around and worked very hard. I have multiple qualifications now which are some of the best people in my field can gain. Got into finance and I was making 25lpa+ at the age of 28. I brought my first iPhone, took international trips basically I enjoyed the money but I still felt something was missing. I got an opportunity at a different company as a senior with starting pay of 35lpa+, I declined it and looked to switch into a domain that has always been my passion and a dream. I took a pay cut and I switched into the new domain, couldn’t survive as the work culture was too toxic and I just quit blankly. Now I have been out of job for past 6 months, I see people around me making great money, getting married, I’m here at 30 stuck between following my passion which would pay me less money or the field which payed me a lot but I felt very unsatisfied with the work. Most of the high paying jobs that people run behind after B-schools or professional qualifications fall very short from what we believe the work would to what it actually is. The disappointment lead to lower job satisfaction. Have you guys ever regretted your decisions ?4
