Boss got sent to prison for a poaching charge as a canadian tourist, wondering what his options are.

Briefly put, im canadian and my boss (there as a canadian tourist) was sent to prison and it's now been about 2 months since. He was clueless and apparently went on a hunting trip, and killed a baby salt water crocodile in the process since he did not know it was an endangered specie (despite having a least concern endangered statute so go figure). We've had to deal with guards trying to scam us by pretending to release in exchange of money and very little communication. His father is the main person updating me on the situation but so far he's been calling for 90 sec. before his calls hang up. The court has been really slow and the government here is trying to negotiate his release with India but it's tougher than expected with the current political climate. Overall the company which im part of may close unless he gets back so im wondering what to do. We feel lost since the court system in india has so far been of no help. Thanks in advance.
