25M here - How easy/ difficult is it to respectfully keep minimal contact with your friends?

I have a group of friends from my school, who I have absolutely no problems in terms of their behaviour, but I do have my issues with how they look at life They have no clear ambition, no zeal to achieve something in life mostly because they have generational wealth. For me, I seem to have realised this from the last few months. I'm still young (25M) and do have a potentially long life ahead but the clock of my 20s is ticking too which I don't want to waste. Those of you who distanced yourself from such individuals, how easy/ difficult is it?
