Need info for aadhar update

Need info for aadhar update Hi. We got married in Hyd at Arya Samaj 5 years ago. To change surname name in the wife's aadhar, the aadhar center person said that a marriage certificate is necessary. But is this certificate valid for name change? Also this was from Telangana, while our native residence address is in A.P. For getting a ration card, we were told that the name change is necessary, also the marriage registration certificate as well. Is the Arya Samaj certificate valid for that one as a marriage registration?
