Bus for tirumula from chennai

I got 13 Jan 3PM SED ticket for tirupathi, it is time of vaikuntha Eikadshi. I am travelling with family of 4 from chennai for the first time, I need some help for planning it. I am thinking to book APSRTC bus online for morning at 8AM from chennai, and last bus i.e 10:15PM from tirumula to Chennai. I am bit worried about what if we miss the night bus as there could long queue in darshan. Do APSRTC bus directly drop and pickup from tirumula or from tirupati as latter case will add up more time? What are the food options available there after darshan for dinner? Should I book accommodation?
