How are the roads in Agra?

I'm looking to take a trip to Agra in mid march. I was thinking I'll rent a scooty but a little nervous because I'm not a very experienced rider. I drove (scooty only) in bangalore for around a month consistently with no incident but I was very cautious and didnt drive very far. But if I'm renting a scooty the whole point would be driving far. How are the roads for an unexperienced rider? Do people follow traffic rules in general? Would I have any trouble as a woman alone? Uber and all I thought will get expensive and inconvenient if it's difficult to find auto. Is metro connectivity good, for all the typical tourist sites?
