Advice Needed: Backlog, Low CGPA, and Registration Issues

Hi KGP community, I’m a 2nd-year student at IIT Kharagpur, and I’m facing some academic challenges. I have a backlog in one of my core subjects from the 2nd semester, and my CGPA is currently below 6. I’ve registered for my 4th-sem core subjects and the backlog subject, but I’m struggling to cope with the pressure. To make things more difficult, due to my weak category, I wasn’t able to register for the elective subjects of the 4th semester. This has added to my stress as I feel like I’m falling further behind. I’m finding it hard to balance everything, and it’s becoming overwhelming. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has advice on how to manage my workload, build confidence, and improve my preparation, I’d really appreciate your input. Any tips on handling backlogs, studying smarter, or staying motivated would mean a lot. Thank you in advance for your help!
